It is a project of the Lugano Region, Mendrisiotto Turismo, Basso Ceresio and the respective Regional Tourist Boards that links the 6 peaks of Lake Ceresio:
Monte Generoso, Monte Brè, Monte San Salvatore, Monte San Giorgio, Monte Lema and Monte Tamaro.
It is said that they were once united by the power of lightning and concealed mystical gems that powered a time machine. But one bad day, a thief stole them all, throwing time into chaos. To restore order, you will face many challenges. It will be unique fun because you will travel through time and on each peak, you will meet a character whom you will have to help find his gem.
Welcoming you on Monte Generoso will be Stephan, a young aspiring architect in search of the Gem of Order, which disappeared together with the Fiore di pietra.
Your mission is to return the Fiore di pietra to where it was before it was unveiled.
During your adventures, you also could discover historical, cultural and natural curiosities of Monte Generoso, Lake Ceresio and its peaks. Don't miss the information on the numerous events taking place at the Monte Generoso Camping in Melano, the Bellavista Buffet and the Fiore di pietra.
When you go up for the first time, you will receive the Ceresio Peaks Passport! Remember to always carry it with you on your adventures. Every time you successfully complete each route, you will receive a stamp.
If you start this extraordinary treasure hunt by climbing Monte Generoso, you can pick up your passport at the Capolago ticket office or at the Self-Service shop on the third floor.
You can also find it, however, at the Lugano Region Info Point (via Magatti 6, Lugano), at Mendrisiotto Turismo (Mendrisio FFS Railway Station) or at the lifts of all the other peaks.
Collect stamps, complete your passport and win numerous prizes.
When you climb Monte Generoso, you can treat yourself to a tasty break with cake and a drink, offered at the Self-Service on the third floor of the Fiore di pietra.
Don't forget to collect the Memo Game when you have conquered the third stamp on your precious passport, no matter which peak you are on.
And what happens when you have found all 6 gems and collected all 6 stamps on your passport? Make a scan of the page with the stamps and send it to info@luganoregion.com. You will then receive a voucher worth CHF 150 for a stay in the Lugano or Mendrisiotto regions.
