The Bear Cave
The Bear Cave, located on the Italian side of Monte Generoso, is an important paleontological site preserving traces dating back approximately 50,000–40,000 years, when it was inhabited by the cave bear. The cave was discovered in 1988 and today represents a site of natural and historical interest that can easily be included in a hike in the area.
